About us
Our goal is to get more people engaged in social sport.
Too many people stop playing sport as they get older, whether that’s post-school or once they get a job! Our mission is to get more people playing sport with their friends, through our social sports events as well as through our fixture secretary where we are taking the hassle away from the teams of organising matches!
-
At the end of the day, the most fun you’ll have playing sport is when it’s with your friends, we’re looking to promote friendship group-led sport.
-
We’re looking to help take away as much of the organisational hassle away from the captains through our fixture secretary, which will book the grounds, help find oppposition and much more!
-
A big issue people have with organised sport is the commitment of it, such as joining a league. We are helping teams who may only like a few games, or a mini-league against friends to make it as easy as possible for teams to play.
Our Story
Born out of an absence of summer social cricket between friends at different universities, Sixes in the City was founded in 2023 as an inter-university charity cricket tournament held in London.
We managed to raise over £10,000 for the Ruth Strauss Foundation across the two events, reaching the capacity of 500 people both years.
2025 University Events
This summer we’ll be starting with 6 university events, as well as continuing our annual charity cricket tournament in London.
The target is to have over 6,000 students in attendance across all of the events.

Charity
We have managed to raise over £10,000 for the Ruth Strauss Foundation across the last two years.
Charity will remain at the forefront of our business going forward, with the fundraising target set at £15,000 for 2025 across all of our events.
The current charity cricket tournament in London will continue annually between the teams that have previously taken part.
